Maintaining a slim prevents ovarian cancer

Maintaining
The researchers found that fat deposits around the waist (known as the "apron") cause the proliferation of ovarian cancer. In 80% of cases, the tumor is able to spread in exactly this "apron" (fat deposition) when the disease is diagnosed.

Gland fat is situated in the upper part of the abdomen, in the region of the stomach. It helps support the organs. The increase in fat gland is often accompanied by the growth of tumors. This conclusion was made by scientists at the University of Chicago, working under the supervision of Professor Ernst Langley after conducting an experiment on mice.

They took the ovarian cancer cells and injected into the stomach of healthy mice. In just 20 minutes, these cells reached gland fat. We found that protein signals emitted by the gland fat, attract cancer cells. If to break the transmission of data signals, it will help to reduce the attractiveness of at least 50%.

In addition, having penetrated the fat gland, cancer cells have begun to change, receiving nutrition fat cells. As a result, the cancer has developed. According to the researchers, a protein that binds fatty acids (FABP4) can play a key role in this process. The fact is that cancer cells produce a high concentration of FABP4 in the gland fat.

By blocking this protein, the transport of nutrients from fat cells to cancer cells could be significantly reduced. The tumor growth was also reduced, as well as its ability to form new blood vessels.
